Immigration Psychological Evaluations

What is an Immigration Evaluation?

The immigration process can be stressful and challenging. However, having an evaluator who understands the process can make things easier.

In some instances, a psychological evaluation can be instrumental to whether your case gets approved or not. Understanding the factors that need to be emphasized in a psychological report can make a difference. A thorough report can be a great tool in proving cases of abuse, demonstrating hardship and showing trauma.

Attorneys can use an immigration psychological evaluation as evidence in a case before the Immigration court or before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service.

In order to have the best outcome for your case, it is important that you are fully transparent with both the therapist and your attorney.

When completing a psychological evaluation, I use various evidence-based assessments to determine how your particular experience may have affected you mentally and/or emotionally.

Psychological evaluations and reports can be used for different types of cases:

➢Asylum Cases

➢Extreme Hardship Cases (Waiver Cases)

➢Violence Against Women Act Cases (VAWA)

With my approach, I tailor every immigration psychological assessment to the particular needs of each case.

Feel free to contact me if you’d like to ask any questions about the process of scheduling a psychological evaluation for your immigration case.
