Family Therapy

Family dynamics can be complex, and there's no such thing as a "normal" family. Many families find themselves stuck in negative cycles of interaction, resentment, and anger. Family therapy provides a safe space for family members to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions. This helps them understand each other's experiences and viewpoints, fostering appreciation for each other's needs.

My approach as a family therapist focuses on treating the family as a whole system and using a strengths-based approach to guide families towards better understanding and acceptance while implementing functional changes. She teaches specific skills to encourage a more supportive unit in which all individuals can grow and thrive.

I am a highly directive family therapist, using effective and creative interventions that ultimately enable families to achieve greater peace and functionality.

What is family therapy?

Family therapy is dedicated to addressing the challenges and disagreements that arise within the family unit. Sometimes, these issues cannot be resolved internally, and an outside mediator is necessary to restore harmony. A therapist can facilitate the process by helping family members understand their roles in the problem and suggesting changes that can enhance the relationship, including:

  • Improving communication

  • Resolving ongoing conflicts

  • Understanding each other's aspirations and dreams

  • Rebuilding strained bonds
